View Video Tribute View Funeral WebcastMaudie Adell Potts White, 93 longtime resident of the Water Valley Community, died Thursday, September 17, 2015 at her residence on Leipers Creek Road. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Mike Williams and Ricky Clay officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late William Nick Potts and Ola Eudora Luckett Potts. She married William Kirby White on December 18, 1937. Their seventy one year marriage ended with his death on November 22, 2009. Mrs. White was a homemaker and a longtime member of Water Valley Church of Christ. Survivors include daughter, Betty White Shouse of Santa Fe; sons, William Bernis (Ann Martin) White of Santa Fe, L.G. (Edith) White of Columbia, Freddie White of Hampton, Virginia; grandchildren, Bonnie (Danny) Lunn, Beverly Thomason, Bryon (Lisa) White, Timmy (Lori) White, Teresa (Perry) Johnson, Julie (Brad) Amstutz, Landon (Megan) White, and Bert (Christy) White; great grandchildren, Destiny (Brandon) Jones, Tyler Lunn, Zak Lunn, Brandon (Julie) Dodson, Josh Thomason, Daniel White, Jessica White, David White, Andrew White, Tabitha (Timmy) Byram, Brianna Johnson, Blake Williams, Rachel Williams, Madison Amstutz, Lucas Amstutz, Cameron White, Noah White, Aubrey White, Samantha White, Jillian White, and Callyn White; great great grandchildren, Hailey Hazlett, Austin Hazlett, Kaleb Hazlett, Riley Dodson, Adelyn Dodson, Lucy Dodson, Mason Thomason, and Kaid Byram; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by grandchildren, Betsy Lee Shouse, Christopher Lynn White, Angel Lauren White; son-in-law, Bobby Shouse; sisters, Lacie Potts, Grace Mohamd, Era Jewell Stuard, Lou Celia Williams; brothers, James Arthur Potts, Hilburn Potts, Edward Lee Potts, Everette Potts. Active pallbearers will be Brandon Dodson, Josh Thomason, David White, Daniel White, Andrew White, Tyler Lunn, Blake Williams, Timmy Byram, and Brandon Jones. Honorary pallbearers include members of Water Valley Church of Christ. The family expresses a special thanks to Marion Warren a longtime friend and neighbor.
