Mrs. Agnes Catherine MacLeod Graves, 85, resident of The Gardens at Poplar Estates, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at NHC Columbia. Burial will take place at a later date in Oneida Castle Cemetery in Oneida Castle, New York. A native of Oneida, New York, she was the daughter of the late Torquil MacLeod and Agnes MacLean MacLeod. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, collecting cookbooks, reading, sewing, crossword puzzles and working outside around her home. She also enjoyed traveling and taking care of her pets. Mrs. Graves was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church in Sherrill, New York. Survivors include her daughters, Jan Graves and Cathy Graves both of Columbia; son, Jeffrey (Julie) Graves of Dunlap, Illinois; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ryan) Miller of Dunlap, IL, Sean Raftery of Columbia, Emme Graves of Dunlap, IL, Christina Graves of Peoria, IL, Lainey Graves of Dunlap, IL; daughter-in-law, Sandra Graves of Columbia; great grandchildren, Jack Miller, Brady Miller, Lillian Cooper; brother, Robert (Evie) MacLeod of Ithaca, N.Y.; brother-in-law, Fred Totten of Gouverneur, N.Y.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Norman E. Graves, son, John Andrew Graves and sister, Janet Totten.
