Alcyon Mann Andrews

Mrs. Alcyon Mann Andrews, 74, resident of Brevet Drive in Franklin, died Monday, June 27, 2011 at Williamson Medical Center. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Millview Church of Christ, 4370 Murfreesboro Road in Franklin. The family will visit with friends Saturday after 12:00 noon at the church. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Kentucky native was the daughter of the late Leo Mann and Aveneal Wells Mann. She graduated from High School in Clifty, Kentucky and attended David Lipscomb University. On May 10, 1973 she married Thomas Elvin "Andy" Andrews who preceded her in death June 9, 2005. Mrs. Andrews was a retired administrative secretary with the State of Tennessee. She was a member of Millview Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughter, Lanitia Renae Crockett of Franklin; step-children, Rickey Phil Andrews, Gerald Thomas (Cindy) Andrews, Danny Eldean Andrews all of Hendersonville, Teena Dawn Andrews of Mt. Juliet; brothers, Edgar Howard Mann of Kentucky, Wilbur Clyde Mann of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Chelsea Annalisa Bomar, Zachary Elijah Bomar; and step-grandchildren, Troy Andrews, Jeffrey Andrews, Kellie Smith, Jason Andrews, Morgan Andrews, Valerie Thompson and Justin Smith. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
