Mr. Alfred Ingram, 81, retired iron worker, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at his residence on Winding Way. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Glen Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Mount Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday at 3:00 P.M. concluding with a Masonic Service at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Humphreys County native was the son of the late William Frank Ingram and Mattie Warren Ingram. He was a graduate of Humphreys County High School. Mr. Ingram had worked at Hooker and Occidental Chemical Company and retired from Industrial Contractors. He was a fifty-two year member of Columbia Masonic Lodge #31 and attended Campbell Station Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Murriel Faye Hancock Ingram of Columbia; three daughters, E. Ann Ingram, Cathy (Bob) Wiley, and Sarah (Dennis) Hayes, all of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Beth Ann (Nathaniel) Hill of Smyrna; Ashley (Parish) Phelps of Lewisburg; Zach Kennedy and Sarah (Jim) Gill, both of Memphis; Sarah (Kris) Turner, Rachel Hayes, Martha Hayes, all of Columbia; and four great grandchildren, Kanvas Phelps, Karysma Phelps, Anna Arnett, and Aedan Turner. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Scott Wiley. Pallbearers will be Parish Phelps, Zach Kennedy, Nathaniel Hill, Kris Turner, Jacson Chapman, and Emerson Phelps.
