Alice Pogue Campbell, 96, homemaker and longtime farmer in Spring Hill, TN died Saturday, June 7, 2025 at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care Center.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. David Sawyer and Rev. Dr. Chris Adams officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday, June 9, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born on July 22, 1928 in Maury County, TN to the late George Brantley Pogue and the late Helen Grimmitt Pogue. She graduated from Hampshire Unit School in 1946 and afterwards attended Columbia Business College. On November 20, 1950 she married John McCoy Campbell and he preceded her in death on April 26, 1996. Alice enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and feeding her family, friends, neighbors and all the workers on the farm throughout the years. She was a former member of the Maury County Home Demonstration Club and a longtime member of Spring Hill First Presbyterian Church where she had been active in the Meals on Wheels program and the Presbyterian Women.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Celia and Andy Koelsch of Anchorage, Alaska; son Pat Campbell of Spring Hill; sister Sue Garner of Hampshire; four grandchildren, Laura Purtle (Dane), Susan Martin (Chris), Wayne Koelsch, and Anita Koelsch; three great grandchildren, Campbell Purtle, Davis Purtle, and Evelyn Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Cecil Blair Pogue; daughter-in-law Gina Campbell; brother-in-law Don Garner; sister-in-law Sandra Pogue.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her faithful friends, Betty Joyce Turner and Polly Boone and the staff and doctors of NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care Center.
