Allen Wayne McCord

Allen Wayne McCord, 76, former owner and operator of Kings Transmission in Lawrenceburg, died Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System. Born June 8, 1946 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Merill McCord and the late Leola Walker McCord. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam, and was an avid mechanic and carpenter. Survivors include his wife, whom he married October 17, 1969, Mary Henson McCord; daughter, Melissa (Terry) Cole; son, Jeff (Genny) McCord; grandchildren, Kimberly Cole, Kayla Cole, Charles Cole; great grandchild, Brynleigh Lumpkins; brother, Tommy McCord; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul McCord.
