View Video TributeMrs. Alma Elizabeth Blocker Massey, 86, retired employee of General Electric, died Thursday, June 20, 2013 at her residence on Cecil Farm Road in the Cross Bridges Community. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Eglinton officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Bridges Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. and Sunday from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Blocker and Annie Wilma Bishop Blocker. She was married to Raymond Massey who preceded her in death on November 14, 2001. Mrs. Massey was a member of Cedar Hill Church of Christ. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Michael & Barbara Massey of Cross Bridges; grandson, Alex Massey of Cross Bridges; granddaughter, Shelby Massey (Hunter Johnson) of Cross Bridges; sister, Rubye (David) Westmoreland of Columbia; brother, Ray Blocker of Columbia; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by children, Brenda Joyce Massey, Billy Joe Massey, and Sandra Kay Massey; sisters, Edith Staggs and Reba "Katie" Winchester; and brothers, Allen Blocker, Carl Blocker, and Herbert Blocker. Active pallbearers will be David Blocker, Drew Blocker, Billy Staggs, Tommy Staggs, Ricky Massey, Rodney Massey, Drew Massey, Adam Massey, and Nick Westmoreland. Honorary pallbearers will be Sherman Massey, M. H. "Cotton" Massey, and men of Cedar Hill Church of Christ.
