View Funeral WebcastAnne Elizabeth Cole Mills., 96, long-time resident of Cranford Hollow Road in the Bear Creek Community, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 27, 2010, at Oakes & Nichols with Donald Dark officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com.She was born March 9, 1914 in Maury County, TN, the daughter of the late Edward Dunnigan Cole and Cordelia Tucker Cole. She was the seventh daughter of twelve children. Her brothers and sisters preceding her in death include: Whitt Hight (Mary) Cole, Berta Mae (Samuel) Garvin, Nora Myrtle (William) Pinkleton, Ruby Irene (Gordon) Cannon, Johnny Arrelious Cole, Edward Levi (Mary) Cole, Margaret Eugenia (Harlow) Maloney, Rose Itaska (William) Gillespie, Mahlon Eldin (Arlene) Cole, William Laurence (Nora) Cole. Her sister surviving her is Eva Grace (Oscar) Sanders. She married Floyd M. Mills July 13, 1931. Mr. Mills died November 26, 1981. They had one daughter in 1932, Dalsie M. Mills who married Charles Norman. Mrs. Norman died August 11, 2009.Mrs. Mills enjoyed four granddaughters Mrs. Michael (Jo E.) Mosley, Dade City, FL.; the late Mrs. Jacquelyn Kay (James) Bullard; Mrs. John (T. Jennene) Vacha, Brooksville, FL.; and Miss Janice M. Norman, Zephyrhills, FL.; and one step grandson, John L. Norman, Nashville, TN. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren Michael Lee (Tiffany) Mosley; Mary Anne (Frank) Pandolfo; James Everett Bullard; Jeremy Edward Bullard; Charles Cohen Mosley; Dylan Cole Norman; and Dixie Lei Norman. She also had three great-great-grandchildren Michael Brandon Mosley, Mykayla Love Mosley, and Noah Lee Mosley.She was a very close and loved friend to Donald and Doris Mills Dark and considered them, their children, and grandchildren as her beloved family as well.She was a loving woman that was well known for her gifts of her delicious cakes and desserts. She brought joy to many and will be sorely missed. Active pallbearers include John Norman, John Vacha, Frank Pandolfo, Jerry Norman, Jerry Dark, and Shannon Poynor. Honorary Pallbearers include members of Thompson's Station Church of Christ and Berea Church of Christ.
