Annie Clark Parrish

Annie Kate Clark Parrish, 100, died Monday, May 4, 2015 peacefully at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ralph Dodd officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 - 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born April 9, 1915 in the Scribner's Mill Community of Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Thomas Clark and Garthia J. Davidson Clark. On October 21, 1933 in Lewisburg, she married the love of her life, Samuel Roy Parrish, who preceded her in death on January 13, 2014 after eighty-plus wonderful years of marriage. A very devoted homemaker, Mrs. Parrish enjoyed gardening with her husband and sharing their canned foods with friends. She will be remembered as an excellent cook. She also enjoyed traveling and exploring new places. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors include a niece, Bettye Beal of Huntsville, Alabama; very special friends, Wanda Moore and Jennifer Moore, both of Columbia; and her beloved dog Sparky. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Etta Hambrick, Claudia Sue Davidson McKibbon, and Lorraine "Reene" Parrish; one brother, Floyd Clark; and her half-siblings, Henry Jr., Peggy, Charles and James. Pallbearers will be Daniel Bovee, Alfred Foglia, Timothy Weaver, Ronald Keller, Addison Foglia, and Ronald Middlebrooks.
