View Video Tribute Arthur Thomas Duncan, 85, retired supervisor for Ford Motor Company in Dearborne, Michigan for 29 years and resident of Holdens Hollow in Columbia, died Friday, April 6, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery in Ypsilanti, Michigan at a later date. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Born in Haleyville, Alabama, he was the son of the late Jesse Wesley Duncan and Paralee Gertrude Banes Duncan. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and the Korean War and was later a member of the National Guard. Mr. Duncan was a Life Member of Phoenix Masonic Lodge #13 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing and hunting in his leisure time. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Wilma Greer Duncan of Columbia; daughter, Brenda Duncan of Columbia; sons, Steven Thomas (Janice) Duncan of Beaverton, Michigan, Roger Craig (Bethany) Duncan of Shelbyville, Kentucky; Amby S. (Chanda) Wilbanks, Jr. of Ypsilanti, Michigan, and Gary T. (Laura) Wilbanks of Ypsilanti, Michigan; six grandchildren; sisters, Betty Jane Love of Columbia and Bessie Nell Nichols of Kimberly, Alabama; brothers, Benton Hymes Duncan of Forsyth, Missouri and Jerry Travis Duncan of Tecumseh, Michigan; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Geneva Green Duncan.
