View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Arthur Calvin Hardison, 70, minister at Antioch Church of Christ and resident of B. Kerr Road, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 10a.m. Saturday at Graymere Church of Christ with Bobby Sampson officiating. Burial will follow in Morton Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday after 3 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home and Saturday after9 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to Morton Cemetery, c/o Billy W. He was a graduate of Spring Hill High School and attended David Lipscomb University. He retired from Union Carbide and was a lifelong farmer. For forty-four years he was a minister of the Gospel. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of nearly fifty years, Betty Lou Cheek Hardison of Columbia; two sons, Russell Calvin "Rusty" (Tonya) Hardison of Chattanooga, Richard Mark "Ricky" Hardison of Thompson's Station; daughter, Lucinda Ann "Cindy" (Daryl)Tomlin of Lynnville; daughter-in-law Alicia Brooks Hardison of Columbia; two sisters, Janice (Cecil) McNeese of Pulaski, Joyce Hardison of Columbia; brother, Charles (Janice) Hardison of Cornersville; and seven grandchildren Casey Hardison, Molly Hardison, Nick Hardison all of Chattanooga, Andrew Tomlin, Benjamin Tomlin, Toby Tomlin, Ryan Tomlin all of Lynnville. He was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Porter Hardison. Active pallbearers will be Daryl Tomlin, Casey Hardison, Andrew Tomlin, Tim McNeese, Randy McNeese, Greg McNeese, Steve Brown, Briant Cheek and Scott Cheek. Honorary pallbearers include Jack Craig, Casey Derryberry, and members of Antioch Church of Christ.
