View Funeral WebcastMr. Aubery Earl "Cowboy" Allen, 77, resident of Ella West Road in Lynnville, died Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Jordon Jones officiating and eulogy by Steve Fry. Burial will follow at the family farm at 2259 Ella West Road in Lynnville with Pastor Rick Bilyeu officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday after 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Turkey, Texas he was the son of the late John Nugent Allen and Della Faye Wilcoxson Allen. While living in Texas he was a cowboy and ranch hand. After moving to Tennessee in 1972 he became a truck driver, cattle trader and farmer. He was a member of Richland Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, whom he married on June 2, 1958, Billye Dean Reading Allen of Lynnville; daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Darryl Brown of Fayetteville; son, Billy "Skeeter" Allen of Culleoka and son and daughter-in-law, John Nugent and Jordan Allen of Petersburg; ten grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Granville Allen and sister, Bonnie Faye Chambless. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Jones, Brandon Grover, Justin Kratz, Jason Kratz, Brandon Woodard and Steven Fry.
