Mrs. Bettie M. Tidwell Moore, 73, resident of Sycamore Street, died Friday, November 20, 2015 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Kerry James officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late John Isom Glenn and Mary Tidwell Glenn. She was a waitress for over forty years at Graymere Country Club. Mrs. Moore enjoyed traveling with her dear friend Lea Meier and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Charles F. (Shirley) Moore and James E. (Gwenita) Moore, Jr., both of Lewisburg; Pamela L. Moore and Cedric B. Moore, both of Columbia; and Shannon T. (Amber) Moore of Salt Lake City, Utah; sister, Beverly Johnson of Columbia; brothers, Willie Mack (Shelia) Tidwell and Harold E. (Darlene) Glenn, both of Columbia; and John I. (Cookie) Glenn, Jr. of Bonaire, Georgia; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sister, Emma L. Gosie; grandson, Richard James "R.J." Moore. Active pallbearers will be Derrick Dooley, Anthony Martin, Sr., Don Dooley, Jr., Demetrius Dooley, Jamie Scribner, and Humes Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers include Carl Baxter and Paul Smith.
