View Video TributeView Funeral Webcast Part OneView Funeral Webcast Part Two Betty Jane Chumbley Allen, 54, Administrative Assistant at Tennessee Farm Bureau and resident of Scott Hollow Road, died Monday, January 21, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Highland Park Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Proctor officiating assisted by Bro. Ricky Clay. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 3 - 8:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols and on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at the church. The family suggests memorials to Highland Park Baptist Church, 1800 Highland Ave., Columbia, TN 38401. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born in Marshall County and reared in Maury County she was the daughter of Mary Curtis Chumbley of Columbia and the late Lelie Alfred Chumbley. She was a dedicated member of Highland Park Baptist Church where she was involved in the Choir and the Student Choir. She was a loving wife, mother, nana and beloved daughter, sister and aunt. In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of fifteen years, Billy Allen of Culleoka; children, Mandy (Joey) Mills of Columbia, Stephen McEwen of Culleoka; step-daughter, Tackonia (Victor) Smith of Stafford, Virginia; grandchildren, Garrett Mills, Gracie Mills, Garrison Mills, Gage Mills all of Columbia, Camryn McEwen of Culleoka, Caden Smith of Stafford, Virginia; brother, Charles (Barbara Davis) Chumbley of Chapel Hill; sisters, Lisa Cole of Columbia, Patsy (Michael) Fox of Culleoka; nieces and nephews, Sandy Hickman and Morgan Fox both of Culleoka, Hunter Cole of Shelbyville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Active pallbearers will be Garrett Mills, Garrison Mills, Joey Mills, Charles Chumbley, Michael Fox, Michael Curtis, Dano Baena, Wayne Legg, Tim Legg and Dwayne Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry and Wanda Fly, Troy Love, Sally Pennington, Gail Adams, members of Highland Park Baptist Church, and employees of Tennessee Farm Bureau. Special thanks to Dr. Charles Ball and staff, Dr. C. Houston Jameson, III, Maury Regional Medical Center Oncology and Nurse Karen.
