View Video TributeView Funeral Webcast Betty Berlin Connelly, 65, retired owner of Central Paint & Body Shop in Nashville, died Friday, April 22, 2011 at her residence in Brentwood after an extended illness. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Jerry Yerkes officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Floyd "Slim" Berlin and Minnie Pearl McKee Berlin. She was a 1963 graduate of Columbia Central High School and member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She owned Central Paint & Body Shop with her husband, Raymond Allen Connelly, and they sponsored baseball teams over the years and were involved in supporting numerous charitable organizations. She continued operating the business following his death November 15, 2005 until her retirement. Survivors include a daughter, Kerry (Rory) Johnson of Huntington, West Virginia; a son, Ricky (Lisa) Connelly of Bowling Green, Kentucky; sister, Judy (Phillip) Tidwell of Longview, Texas; brothers, Kenneth (Edwina) Berlin of Columbia, Ray "Bo" (Nancy) Berlin of Rock Island, and Ralph (Pam) Berlin of Triune; grandchildren, Ricky Connelly, Michael Connelly, and Christian Connelly; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Jerry Berlin, Ronnie Berlin, Danny Berlin, Carl Cantrell, and Billy Cantrell. Pallbearers are Deke Berlin, Ryan Berlin, Kenny Berlin, Terry Berlin, Danny Berlin, and Mark Berlin.
