Betty Ann Biffle James

Betty Ann Biffle James, 90, longtime resident of Naperville, Illinois, died Saturday, December 19, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Chip Hunter officiating. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2:30 P.M. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Nashville. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late James K. Biffle, Sr. and Lillie Pearl Kincade Biffle. On April 18, 1944 she married Julius C. James who preceded her in death on December 9, 1978. She was a 1943 graduate of Columbia Central High School. Survivors include her daughter, Susan James (Jeff) Starr of Naperville, Illinois; sisters, Grace Doering of Canby, Oregon; Beverly Collins of Mt. Juliet; Carolyn Dodson of Columbia; Martha Sue Haynes of La Vergne; grandchildren, Jeffrey James Starr and Jessica Suzanne Starr, both of Naperville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings, James Kendrick "Jack" Biffle, Jr., Elise B. Richardson, Doris Kriegel, Patsy Kennedy, William Byron Biffle, Larry Kincade Biffle, and Nancy Barron.
