Mrs. Billie Joyce Edwards Worrell, 72, former owner of Goose & Gander Craft Store and art instructor, died Friday, July 31, 2009, at her residence on Danbury Drive. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Breeden officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. She was married to Joe E. Worrell who preceded her in death on November 9, 2005. Mrs. Worrell was a graduate of Myrtle High School in Myrtle, Mississippi. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the James K. Polk Association. Survivors include one son, Randy Worrell of Columbia; one brother, Cecil Edwards of Alton, Illinois; one granddaughter, Alison Worrell of Hastings, Nebraska, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Johnson. Pallbearers will be Terri & Ron Bechtold, Cindy & Joe Paruch, Rheva & Tim Edwards, and Erica & Eric Thaxton.
