View Video TributeMr. Billy Wayne Phillips, Sr., 63, resident of White Bluff, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Alive Hospice, Inc. in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Chaplain Eddie Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Morton Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Edward Rye Phillips and Letha Louise Johnson Phillips. He is survived by his wife, Delores Jean Bailey Phillips of White Bluff; four sons, Billy Phillips, Jr. of Dickson, James Phillips of Lavergne, Greg Jones of Fairview, Chad Jones of Murfreesboro; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers Eddie Phillips of Milan, Jimmy Phillips and Jackie Phillips both of Dickson; three sisters, Gayle Hooks of Burns, Ethel Elliott of Dickson, Sandra Crutcher of Spring Hill; best friend, Robert Mullins; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Letha Faye Burgess. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
