View Video TributeView Funeral Webcast William "Billy Glynne" Rummage, 77, well-known farmer and businessman, died Wednesday, September 14, 2011 following a short illness. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at West Seventh Street Church of Christ with Greg Daimwood and Buddy Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites at graveside. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. A life-long resident of Maury County, he was the son of the late Glynn Watson Rummage and Brownie Cornelia Dugger Rummage. He was a 1952 graduate of Columbia Central High School and earned an America's Young Farmer Degree in 1954 in Kansas City. Mr. Rummage farmed all his life and in later years bred Tennessee Walking Horses on his Circle R Farm. In partnership with his father, he owned and operated Rummage Equipment Company, was an agent for Norman F. Dean Realty & Auction Company for a number of years, and a private pilot. He was a long-time member of the Church of Christ and Columbia Masonic Lodge #31. A member of Mid-South Dealers Association, he was a multiple recipient of the Mid-South Dealers' "Top Seller Award." Survivors include his wife, Laura Jane Rummage Rummage of Columbia; son, Ronnie Glynne (Paula) Rummage of Antioch and his mother, Ann Fox (Jim) Bryant of Columbia, daughter, Nelia Lynne (Tim) Gibson of Columbia, and son, William Glynne Rummage, II of Columbia; brother, Randell (Judith) Rummage of Columbia; grandson, Ryan Sikes Rummage of Antioch and expected grandson, Korbin Leighton Gibson; granddaughters, Sarah Anne (Seth) Neller of Dallas, Texas and Kelsey Lyne Gibson of Columbia; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmer and Charlotte Rummage of Columbia; sister-in-law, Alice Fox of Columbia; brothers-in-law, Lee (Pam) Rummage and Gene (Phyliss) Rummage of Columbia; nieces, Elizabeth (Gerry Thomas) Parker, Renee (Todd) Parsley, Megan Rummage, Penny Brooke, Patti Engebretsen, Pamela Schenkel, Cristen Rummage, and Shelby Rummage; nephews, Randell (Lee Ann) Rummage, Jr., Robert (Christa) Rummage, Matt Rummage, Taylor Rummage, Ed Fox, and Joel Fox; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
