Bobbie Claire Johnson Jones

Mrs. Bobbie Claire Johnson Jones, 88, Retired L.P.N. for Maury Regional Medical Center and resident of Columbia, died Saturday, September 16, 2023 at NHC Columbia. Born December 4, 1934, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of the late Claude Martin and Gladys Orena McAnally Johnson. Mrs. Jones was a 1953 graduate of Haylong High School and 1977 graduate of Columbia State Community College, where she received her L.P.N. She was a nurse at Maury Regional for 20 years until her retirement in 1997. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Sandy Hook Church of Christ. Survivors include her three daughters, Jenny Jones (Roy Augustus) Hutto, Mary Kathleen Jones, Sharon Jones (Danny Wayne) Cole; son, Michael Timothy Jones; two sisters, Marsha Lynn Johnson, Nancy Susan Coffman; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Doris Johnson (Allen) Savage and Carolyn Johnson Hemphill.
