View Video TributeView Funeral WebcastBobby Lee Haddock, 74, former owner/operator of Akins Market and resident of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, March 14, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Tim Paul officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Lauderdale County, Alabama, he was the son of the late Christopher Haddock and Ocie Holt Haddock. Mr. Haddock graduated from high school in Sheffield, Alabama where he was very active with the track team. A former member of the Maury County Arts Guild, he was a very talented artist and guitarist. He was a member of the Disciples of Christ, which is currently known as Central Christian Church. Survivors include his children, Leigh Ann Haddock (Holly Jenkins) of Columbia; Michael (Jennifer) Haddock of Lynnville; Christi (Alan) Hooper of Culleoka; grandchildren, Lucy Haddock and Mary Haddock, both of Lynnville; Kaylin Gibson and Miley Hooper, both of Culleoka; sister-in-law, Sara Haddock of Columbia; and nephews, Greg Haddock of Columbia; and Keith Haddock of Lee's Summit, Missouri. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Haddock. Active pallbearers will be Greg Haddock, Keith Haddock, Kenny Eubank, Wayne Reed, C. T. Johnson, Jerry Rooker, Holly Jenkins, and Alan Hooper. Honorary pallbearers include Frank McBride and the staff of Mt. Pleasant Rehabilitation Center.
