MR. BOBBY KELLEY, SR. Mr. Bobby Eugene Kelley, Sr., 71, resident of Mooresville Pike, died Monday, September 16, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Tim McHenry and Jeff Waldrop officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Alive Hospice, and the Maury County Library. The Maury County native was the son of the late Nicademus "Dean" Kelley and Dixie Pearl Anderson Kelley. He was married to Mary McClain Kelley who preceded him in death February 5, 1995. Mr. Kelley was employed by J.B. Fox Construction at Monsanto Chemical Company for twenty-two years, and retired from Columbia Masonry after fifteen years of service. He was a self-employed painter for serveral years after his retirement. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and was a member of Culleoka Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters, Karen (Dale) Tate of Columbia, Vickey Lynn (Mike) Craig of Estill Springs, Marilyn (Carl) Conner of Culleoka; five sons, Bobby E. Kelley, Jr., Ronald Stephen (Diane) Kelley, Douglas Edward (Patti) Kelley all of Columbia, Dickey Glenn (Vickie) Kelley of Chattanooga, and John Dewayne Kelley of Culleoka; two brothers, R.M.(Dorothy) Kelley and Bud Kelley; two sisters, Louise Kelley (Ulner) Fite, Betty Kelley (Billy) Mash; eight granddaughters, Melissa (Cory) Miller, Tiffany Dawn Kelley, Jessica Lee Kelley, Amber Nichole (Dewayne) Cline, Tonya (Kevin) Benderman, Brittany Jane Kelley, Christie Lynn Craig, Charlotte Walker; seven grandsons, Stephen (Becky) Kelley, Jeremy (Misty) Kelley, Daniel (Stephanie) Kelley, Jason Pigg, Justin Pigg, Daven Kelley, Marshall Chandler; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Carliss Kelley, Stanley Kelley, Allen Kelley, Penny Kelley, Raymond Kelley, Henry (Pat) Kelley, Benton Kelley and Bill Kelley. Pallbearers will be grandsons and Cory Miller, Ray Drewett, Dale McCord and Timothy Rountree. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Shawn Reed, Whitthorne Hickman, J.B. Fox, employees of S&K Market in Culleoka and special thanks to respiratory specialist, Mitzie Floyd.
