Bobby Milton Harris

Bobby Milton Harris, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 27, 2021, preceded in death weeks earlier by his wife of 64 years, Naomi Sisco Harris. Mr. Harris was a native of Hickman County, one of nine children born to Charles William Harris and Nancy Elizabeth Pace Harris. After graduating from Hickman County High School, Bobby served in the U.S. Army National Guard during the Korean War and went on to work for the Tennessee Valley Authority and later South Central Bell. In 1956, Bobby and Naomi married and moved to Columbia. Mr. Harris was retired from AT&T, and his own company, Columbia Communications. He was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church, and American Legion Post 19 Auxiliary. Mr. Harris is survived by his brother, Donald (Barbara) Harris of Portland, TN; his daughter, Beverlee Harris (Tom) Weismann of St. Petersburg, Florida; his son, Jeff (Lisa) Harris; and grandchildren, John (Cassie), Jake and Jill Harris all of Mt. Pleasant. The date and time of a Celebration of Life will be specified later by his family.
