Bonnie Callahan Van Bibber, 73, retired teacher, died Monday, September 14, 2015 at her residence in Canterbury. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Dr. Carl Duck and Brother Reed Buntin officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Triune Baptist Church, 8094 Horton Highway, Arrington, Tennessee 37014. She was a 1960 graduate of Jones High School in Lynnville, attended Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Belmont College in 1965. Mrs. Van Bibber taught in the Maury County School System for 29 years. She was a member of Triune Baptist Church. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jim Van Bibber, whom she married June 29, 1968; sons, Bart Van Bibber of Thompson's Station and Grant (Tasha) Van Bibber of Huntsville, Alabama; sister, Brenda Callahan of Columbia; brother, Richard (Linda) Callahan of Columbia; grandchildren, Anderson Van Bibber of Columbia, Nora Claire Van Bibber, and Garrett Van Bibber, both of Huntsville, Alabama; several nieces and nephews. Andy Norwood, Steven Callahan, Ryan Callahan, Doug Damiano, Shannon Huntley, and Ryan Journey will serve as pallbearers.
