View Funeral WebcastMrs. Brownie Weatherford Hickman, 97, retired employee of DuPont and resident of Yokley Road in Lynnville, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Morning Pointe in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Wayne Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born April 29, 1918 in Maury County she was the daughter of the late Samuel Reese Weatherford and Ruby Lee Williamson Weatherford. She attended Odd Fellows Hall Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Larry) White of Hendersonville; son, Kenneth H. (Patricia) Hickman of Lynnville; sister, Geri (Robert) Horsley of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Karen White (Wavil) Mills, David White, Shannon (Jason) McBrayer, and Amanda Hickman; great grandchildren, Dara Vernotzy, Kyle Vernotzy, Amber Vernotzy, Olivia Mills, Jackson McBrayer, Madeline McBrayer, William McBrayer; and great great grandchild, Atley Vernotzy. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husbands, Robert Howard Hickman and William H. Templeton; sisters, Bertie Mae Hickman, Annie Sands, and Ruth Wells; brothers, Joe Weatherford and Clyde Weatherford. Active pallbearers will be David White, Kyle Vernotzy, Bobby Sands, Jason McBrayer, Kevin Raines, Doug Hickman, Wavil Mills, and Larry Sands. Honorary pallbearers include Samuel Sands, Charlie Foster, Mike Hickman, Dennis Hickman, and Steven Hickman.
