Carl Henry Hendricks

View Funeral Webcast Mr. Carl Henry Hendricks, 81, resident of Columbia, died Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Life Care of Columbia. A funeral mass will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Church with Father Dan Reehil officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born on May 12, 1940 in East Chicago, Indiana, he was the son of the late Clare James Hendricks and the late Johanna Socha Hendricks. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. In 1982 he moved to Columbia to take care of his mother. His entire career he worked for Union Carbide having worked in Indiana, Canada, Charleston, West Virginia. Mr. Hendricks was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. He is survived by several first cousins. Mr. Hendricks was preceded in death by his only sibling, Father Clare Joseph Hendricks who preceded him in death on February 5, 2022. Pallbearers will be the Knights of Columbus.
