Carla Louise Riddle Belcher, 65, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Decatur County General Hospital in Parsons. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Minister Carter Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born December 6, 1949 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late William Kenneth Riddle, Sr. and Barbara Ann Pilkinton Riddle. Carla graduated Central High School before attending East Tennessee State University where she graduated with honors. Her professional life was devoted to nurturing and assisting others to reach their full potential through teaching and assisting adults with special needs. Her family, especially her nieces and nephews, were her delight. She enjoyed photography and used her gift to preserve many special family moments. She was always kind, loving and generous, and will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband, Norris Belcher; brother, Kenneth (Kathy) Riddle, Jr.; sisters, Sherry (David) Scheide, Brenda (Paul) Smith, Dedra (Calvin) Hoover; nephews, Jason Riddle, Jared Riddle, Jeff Riddle, Daniel Jordan, Brandon Smith, Carter Hoover and nieces, Katherine Bird and Christine Hoover. She also leaves behind many loving relatives and friends. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
