Carolyn Warf "Diddle" Perry, 88, resident of the Theta Community, died Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Larry McGranahan and Rev. Joe Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Cherrie Kelley, 4982 Campbellsville Pike, Culleoka, TN 38451 to help the family with expenses incurred during Mrs. Perry's illness and death. She was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and was a retired employee of Holiday Inn in Spring Hill. Mrs. Perry loved to cook and crochet and also loved gardening and canning vegetables. She was a member of Theta United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Cherrie (Tracy) Kelley of Columbia; two grandsons Dennis (April) Johnston of Theta, Perry (Angie) Gibson of Santa Fe; two great-grand children Harley Johnston, Kara Lynn Gibson; sister Jean (Jack) Warf Willis of Santa Fe; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and great nephews; and several great great nieces and great great nephews. She was preceded in death by five sisters Elizabeth Warf Priest, Rachel Warf Chandler, Addie Warf Peach, Joan Warf Farris, Jessie Warf Hines and two brothers H.A. Warf and Harold "Buck" Warf. Pallbearers will be Harley Johnston, Perry Gibson, Dennis Johnston, Randall Chandler, Larry Peach, Richard Warf, Steve Warf, Gary Willis, Terry Farris and Dennis Farris. Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and technicians at Home Health Care and at Maury Regional Medical Center.
