Carolyn Fay Grissom Ragsdale, 69, homemaker and resident of Campbellsville Pike, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at NHC Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Victor Alley officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. She was a native of Maury County and attended Highland Avenue Church of God. She is survived by 6 generations of her family, including daughters, Sherrill Lynn Walls of Rockvale, Frankie (Jeff) Berry of Columbia, Joy Carrol (Billy Ray) Lancaster of Mt. Pleasant, and Marcie (Wayne) Keethly of Nashville; sons, Terry Ray (Cindy) Tinsley and Michael Ragsdale of Columbia; her mother, Louise Foster Grissom of Columbia; sister, Patricia Gail Grissom of Columbia; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Ragsdale, February 27, 1985; her father, Herman Grissom, sister, Wanda South, and great-grandchild, Ryan Leonard. Active pallbearers are Mike Ragsdale, Michael Kennedy, Robert Ashworth, Johnathan Ashworth, Bill Randolph, and Hank Roberts. Honorary pallbearers include Jeff Berry, Johnny Kennedy, Michael Massey, and Matthew Kennedy.
