View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Miss Carolyn B. Reed, 68, went to be home with her Lord and Savior, Friday, January 31, 2014 at her residence in the Culleoka Community. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at two o'clock at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Ronnie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Knob Creek Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Notes of condolence may be extended at www.oakesandnicols.com. She was born October 28, 1945 in Maury County daughter of the late Irvin S. Reed, Sr. and Ruby Green Reed. She spent her early childhood and young adult life in the Kedron Community and was educated in Spring Hill schools. Since the death of her mother, she spent her time in the care of her sisters, Donna and Sarah, in their homes. She was a special person, an angel on earth, always caring for and helping others. Her nieces and nephews were her children and she loved them dearly. She loved working in crafts, making key chains, pot holders for her family, friends, and strangers and trying out new recipes.An avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching the Tennessee Titans and University of Tennessee Volunteers. Miss Reed also enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, traveling to the beach and mountains and will forever be missed by her family. She was a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church. Survivors include her sisters, Margaret Minshall of Franklin, Donna (Ray) Foster of Chapel Hill, Sarah Mitchell of Culleoka; brothers, Irvin Reed, Jr. of Columbia, Fred (Margaret) Reed of Spring Hill, Stanley (Kathy) Reed of Mt. Pleasant, and Buck (Jamie) Reed of Culleoka; several nieces and nephews. She as preceded in death by a sister, Jane Reed, and brothers, James Reed and Richard Reed. Serving as active pallbearers are Bubba McGaw, Travis Ketchum, Ricky Reed, Jamie Reed, Tony Helmick, David Reed, and Michael Martin. Dr. Sue Ellen Lee and staff will serve as honorary pallbearers.
