Carolyn Shephard Trimmer

Carolyn Lucille Shephard Trimmer, 90, homemaker and resident of Mere Drive, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Jeff Jacob officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. Born and reared in Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William Shephard and Florence Hannaford Shephard. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was married June 6, 1944 to John Case Trimmer, who preceded her in death May 14, 1990. Survivors include her daughters, Diedre (Frank) Creamer of Ocean Pines, Maryland and Diane (Doug) Foster of Fredericksburg, Virginia; her son, John Trimmer of Brentwood; grandchildren, David Umberger of Laurel, Maryland, Stephen Umberger of Tampa, Florida, Lisa (Ron) Hedge of San Antonio, Texas, Allison Foster and Rachel Foster, both of Fredericksburg, Virginia; and great-grandson, William Hedge of San Antonio, Texas. Pallbearers are Doug Foster, Frank Creamer, David Umberger, and Stephen Umberger.
