Carrie Coffman Parrish

Carrie Evelyn Coffman Parrish, 89, died Monday, May 2, 2011 at her residence at 110 Walnut Lane. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Gilly Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 5 - 7 p.m. and Friday from 12 noon until time of service at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com The Limestone County, Alabama native was the daughter of the late Thomas Jesse Coffman and Grace Elizabeth McGuire Coffman. On May 29, 1943 she married Chesley Polk Parrish who preceded her in death November 24, 2006. Mrs. Parrish was a homemaker and Mary Kay distributor. She was a member of Northview Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Wanda Chestine Oliver of Columbia, Mrs. Vicki Lynn (Paul) Mangrum of Hendersonville; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Odell Hicks of Salem, Alabama, Mrs. Carnell Thorne of Athens, Alabama; five grandchildren, Glenn Oliver, David Parrish Oliver, Jonathan Paul Oliver, Alexander Kenneth Mangrum, Lindsey Grace Mangrum; five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Parrish in 1989, a sister, Clura Goodin, and three brothers, Thomas Clayton Coffman, J.C. Coffman and Carl Winfred Coffman.
