Catherine Fay Hickman Currie

Catherine Fay Hickman Currie, 76, homemaker, died Thursday, June 15, 2017 at her residence on Mooresville Pike. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Lindstrom officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born May 21, 1941 in Maury County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Hershel Manford Hickman and the late Ila Trudell Tillery Hickman. She loved fishing, canning, gardening, and most of all being a grandmother. Mrs. Currie was member of Grace Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her husband, whom she married May 23, 1959, James Hershel Currie of Columbia; son, Todd Currie of Columbia; daughter, Tammy (Steve) Wilkinson of Columbia; grandchildren, Emily Wilkinson of Columbia; Laura Wilkinson of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Ken Little, Bo Currie, Johnny Jaggers, John Tobin, Todd Currie, Stormy Roberts, and Steve Wilkinson.
