View Video TributeView Funeral Webcast Charles Edward Collier, 75, retired from Union Carbide Corporation, died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Wendell Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Williamsport Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born in Maury County, he was the son of the late Charles Bruner Collier and Marion Lucille Mathis Collier. Mr. Collier loved the outdoors, especially fishing and gardening and spending time with his grandson. Survivors include his wife, Linda Potts Collier, whom he married January 2, 1976; daughter, Nicole (Kevin) Thomason of Columbia; grandson, Jacob Cole Thomason; sisters, Linda Mabry, Elaine Hudgens, and Maye Jane Collier, all of Columbia; brothers, Jerry (Yvonne) Collier of Ashland City, and Larry Collier of Nashville. Serving as pallbearers are Steve Mabry, Will Mabry, Eric Collier, Kenneth Potts, Dean Adkisson, and Kevin Thomason..
