View Memorial WebcastMr. Charles Thomas "Charlie" Crumley, 70, Columbia business man and resident of Rutherford Lane, died Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at St. Thomas Medical Center. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Anthony Muston officiating. The family will visit with friends from 4:00 p.m. to service time. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Robert Crumley and Dora Atkisson Crumley and attended the Baptist Church. From 1969-1981 he owned and operated the Old Lamplighter Inn on Riverside Drive. Later, he operated Crumley Trucking Company and an automobile dealership for several years. At the time of his death he was a driver for the Maury County Board of Education. He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years and mother of his children, Frances Harris Crumley in 2003 and wife, Pat Sanders Crumley in 2006, and a son, Rickey Crumley. Survivors include four daughters, Pam (Steve) Lockhart of Santa Fe, Donna Nelson of Columbia; Cathy Weis of Tampa, Florida, and Lesa Weis of Memphis; a son, David Weis of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Brandy (Nelson) Grandberry, Crissy Mulholland, April Crumley, Britney (Brandon) Bass, Cody (Jessie) Crumley, and Ariana Nelson; great-grandchildren, Bishop Turrentine, Elijah Turrentine, Sanderia Mulholland, Anaya Mulholland, T. J. Bass, Darian Bass, Zamora Bass, and Kierra Grandberry; sister, Myrtle Chapman of Columbia; brother, Rev. V. J. "Dusty" (Evelyn) Crumley of Columbia; daughter-in-law, Brenda Crumley; special friends, Frances Sowell, James Hoil Walker, Clay Buttrey, Gay Milleman, Dee Reiker, and Kenny Hanvy.
