View Video TributeView Funeral Webcast Charles Edward "Buck" Shouse, resident of Meadowview Drive in Columbia, died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at Oakes and Nichols with Carl May, John Waldrum and Jeff Thomason officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends beginning at 4:00 P.M. on Monday with a Masonic Service being conducted at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. Born in Maury County, Charles was the son of the late Addie Easter Shouse. He was the husband of Martha Agnes Hinson Shouse of Columbia. Charles was a retired electrician with thirty-five years of service at Occidental Chemical Company. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Shouse was a member of the Berea Church of Christ and Columbia Masonic Lodge #31. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Billy Dwight (Paulette Hood) Shouse of Cincinnati and Jerry A. (Susan) Shouse of Clarksville; four grandchildren, Brian E. Shouse, Amy M. Turner and Amanda J. Smith all of Cincinnati and Joey Shouse of Clarksville; six great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Beard of Columbia. Active pallbearers are Brian Shouse, Logan Feltner, Josh Lunn, John Waldrum, Johnathan Waldrum and Rayburn Grooms. Honorary pallbearers will be Lennie and Calvin Collins, Leslie Goad, members of the Berea Church of Christ and former employees of Occidental Chemical Company. The family wishes to express a special thank you to his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Esther and Rayburn Grooms for their loving care and support.
