Cheairs Mayes "Moose" March, Jr., 68, retired from Union Carbide Corporation and long-time resident of Denise Drive, died Friday, April 24, 2015 at Lewis County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hohenwald. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Rick Points officiating. Entombment will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born October 1, 1946 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Cheairs M. March, Sr. and Marjorie Hirzel March. His wife, Nancy Gayle Brumley March, preceded him in death September 28, 2001. During the Viet Nam era, Mr. March served in the U. S. Air Force from 1965 to 1969. Survivors include his daughters, Melissa (Dale) Baker of Hohenwald, Teresa (Travis) Arment of Highland Village, Texas, and Christina (Danny) Wood of Corinth, Texas; grandchildren, Daniel Walls and Derrick Walls of Columbia, Haley Baker and Chelsea Baker of Hohenwald, Lauren Arment, Ryan Arment, and Adam Arment, of Highland Village, Texas; Nicholas Wood, Katie Wood, and Morgan Wood of Corinth, Texas; great-grandchildren, Reagen Grippi, Bentley Mathis, and Aubrey Cotham; Katherine (Mike) Mast of Gas City, Indiana and Mary Jo McMahan of Culleoka; brothers, Michael March of Brentwood and Jimmy March of Columbia; several nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers are Michael March, Daniel Walls, Derrick Walls, Wally Walls, Travis Arment, and Danny Wood.
