Christine Young Haskin

Christine Young Haskin, 87, a resident of Culleoka, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026 at NHC Healthcare Oakwood in Lewisburg.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 2:30 PM at Scribner’s Mill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born June 24, 1938 in Columbia, TN, Christine was the daughter of the late James Scott Young and the late Betty Mae Pinkelton Young. On June 22, 1956 she married the love of her life, John Thomas “Bud” Haskin. Christine was a strong hard working woman, both keeping the household running and working on the farm. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who found great joy in quilting, sewing, and cooking for her family. Christine was a member of Mooresville Church of Christ.

In addition to her husband of nearly 70 years, Bud Haskin, she is survived by sons, Dennis Haskin of Culleoka, and Phillip Haskin of Lewisburg; and grandson, Caleb Haskin of Lewisburg.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
