Christine Cothron Lovett

June 9, 1928 — December 8, 2012

Christine Elizabeth Cothron Lovett, 84, long-time resident of Bear Creek Pike, died Saturday, December 8, 2012 at NCH Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Calvin Lunn officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of condolence may be extended at oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Looney Cothron and Dixie Turpin Cothron. She was a member of West Seventh Street Church of Christ. She married Floyd E. Lovett August 20, 1941. Their 48-year marriage ended with his death November 27, 1989. Survivors include her daughters, Marie Lovett, Pat (Buster) Walters, and Cathey (Danny) Anderson of Columbia; son, Randy (Sarena)Lovett of Columbia; sister, Elaine Cothron Chunn Hood of Columbia; granddaughter, Dawn Skinner of Columbia; grandsons, Todd Primm of Columbia, Steve (Melanie) Primm of Cumming, Georgia, David Primm of Cumming, Georgia, and Duane Lovett of Mt. Pleasant; great-grandchildren, Ashton Primm of Alpharetta, Georgia and Benjamin Skinner of Columbia. She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Cothron and brother, Fulton Cothron. Serving as pallbearers are Ben Skinner, Buster Walters, Danny Anderson, Todd Primm, Steve Primm, David Primm, and Duane Lovett. The family expresses appreciation to Hospice Compassus and especially Sue Hawkins for their care and kindness throughout her illness.
