Christine Warf Neal, 82, resident of Bear Creek Pike, died Monday, February 1, 2016 at Morning Pointe of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Carl May officiating. Burial will follow in Neapolis Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Born December 4, 1933 in Williamson County, she was the daughter of the late Hollis V. Warf and Annie Lee Richards Warf. On October 18, 1952 she married Jesse Lee Neal who preceded her in death March 19, 2003. Mrs. Neal was well-known for her excellent cooking and generous nature. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family. She had been a member of Berea Church of Christ for over fifty-five years. Survivors include her daughter, Connie (Martin) Avery of Columbia; grandson, David Avery of Columbia; brothers, Ennis (Mary) Warf of Brentwood; William (Brenda) Warf of Culleoka; Jimmy (Dot) Warf, Randall (Faith) Warf, and Dyron Warf, all of Franklin; sisters, Alma McGaw of Pegram; Mae (Howard) Prater of McMinnville; Margie Rucker of Brentwood; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Annie Lee Neal. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Ray Neal, and sister, Ruth Boyd. Active pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers include members of Berea Church of Christ and staff of Morning Pointe.
