Clarence H Bradford

Mr. Clarence "Dick" Hensley Bradford, 79, retired employee of the City of Columbia, died Sunday, August 9, 2009 at his residence on S. High Street. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill Cemetery with Tommy Culberson and Clark Albright officiating. Military honors will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, P.O. Box 127, Culleoka, TN 38451 or Cross Bridges Baptist Church, 2881 N. Cross Bridges Rd., Columbia, TN 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Ellis Richard Bradford and Martha Jane Ragsdale Bradford. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary Frances Davis Bradford, of Columbia; two daughters, Patsy (Lester) Hensley and Angela Reynolds both of Columbia; three grandchildren, Daniel (Bethany) Hensley of Culleoka, Kalem Reynolds, Brooklin Valdez both of Columbia; two brothers, Felix Bradford of Columbia, Sammy Bradford of Santa Fe; and sister, Ruby Thomas of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Ellis Bradford, Jr., William Bradford, Homer Bradford, Iuelis "Dude" Bradford and one sister, Lecy Bradford Culberson. Pallbearers will be Daniel Hensley, Kalem Reynolds, Thomas Culberson, Brian Hubbell, Aron Brennen and James Johnson.
