View Funeral WebcastMr. Thomas Claude "Bud" Childrey, Jr., 81, retired sales representative for the Fuller Brush Company and resident of West 13th Street, died Thursday, November 12, 2009 at NHC Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Gene Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Maury County native was the son of the late Thomas Claude Childrey, Sr. and Maury Rittenberry Childrey and a 1946 graduate of Columbia Central High School. Survivors include a daughter, Carol (Bruce) Gagneur of Columbia; a son, Thomas Claude Childrey, III of Columbia; grandchildren, Justin Gagneur, Rodney (Kayla) Dewire, and Jeff Childrey, Jr.; a sister, Martha Rittenberry of Panama City, Florida; nephews, William Rittenberry and Mark Rittenberry. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Wayne Childrey, Sr. Pallbearers are Justin Gagneur, Rodney Dewire, William Rittenberry, Mark Rittenberry, Blake Hight, and Tommy Hight, Jr.
