View Video Tribute View Funeral WebcastMr. James William "Clifford" Lynn, 76, resident of Eagleville, died Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Larry Guin officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the son of the late Raymond Lynn and Edna Young Lynn. He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960. On December 12, 1959 he married Elizabeth Smith Lynn in her native Glascow, Scotland. Mr. Lynn was employed with U.S. Tobacco and had also worked at Chemcoke Inc. in Columbia for ten years. He was a member of Harpeth Lick Cumberland Presbyterian Church in College Grove. In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, William Brent (JoAnna) Lynn of Muncie, Indiana, Kevin Scott (Cindy) Lynn of College Grove; grandchildren, Russell Scott Lynn (fiancée, Weatherly Russell), Rebecca Kate Lynn both of College Grove, Brittney Nicole (Chris) Dodd, William Travis Lynn both of Monroe, Louisiana, Wyatt Raymond Lynn and Annistyn Elizabeth Lynn both of Muncie, Indiana; sister, Marie (Charles) King of Culleoka; nieces, Renée Leland, Donna Lynn both of Columbia; great-nieces, Shelby Bray and Allye Leland; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Edward Lynn and nephew, Mark King. Active pallbearers will be Scott Lynn, Travis Lynn, Andrew Burns, Joe Petshauer, Joe Templeton and Bobby Crafton. Honorary pallbearers include John Lynn, Ray Anderson, Edgar Deason, Vern Weathers, Vernon Elliott, Ed Sally, Chris Fogg, Marty Leland, Gene Patterson and the men of Harpeth Lick Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
