CLIFFORD MILLSMr. Clifford Mills, 68, retired mechanic and heavy equipment operator at Damron Construction and Campbell & Due Construction, died Thursday, January 2, 2003, at his residence on South Main Street.Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 2:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. V. J. Crumley and Rev. Georgina Bearden officiating. Burial was in Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Survivors include one stepson, Michael Dewitt Bonee of Columbia; one step grandson, Michael Daniel Bonee of Columbia; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Marie Pressnell of Columbia; Mrs. Barbara Ann Lunn of Texas.He was preceded in death by three half-brothers, Williard Pierce, Jay Mills, and Eddie Mills; and one half-sister, Mary Ann Primm.Pallbearers will be Bill Beady, Johnny Woodard, Dan Polk, Harry Alexander, George Kennedy, Ron Kennedy, and Terry Bearden.
