Connie Mencer

Connie Witherspoon Mencer, 51, employee of McDonald's and resident of Grove Drive, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. David Buffaloe and Rev. Ezell Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family requests memorials to Riverview Baptist Church, 798 Santa Fe Pike, Columbia, TN 38401. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of Loyd Witherspoon and Frances Gainey Witherspoon of Columbia. The Columbia Central High School graduate was a former employee of Wal-Mart. In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Beth (J. R.) Phillips of Culleoka; niece, Paige Phillips of Culleoka; and special friend, Mike Deckard of Santa Fe. Pallbearers will be Tommy Scott, Tim Laws, Tim Smith, Kirby Howell, Chase Laws, and Jake Kelley.
