View Video TributeMrs. Daisy Lee Pearl Skinner Cannady, 80, retired seamstress, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at her residence on Tanyard Hollow Road in the Culleoka Community. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Glen Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Jim Tom Skinner and Rosie Hue Scott Skinner. Mrs. Cannady enjoyed sewing making many of her own clothes and was retired from Dixie Manufacturing. She also was an avid gardener, especially working in her flowers. She was a member of Campbell Station Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Barney Cannady of Culleoka; one daughter, Lisa Kaye (Mike) Fischer of Nashville; two sons, Tim Cannady of Culleoka; Don (Elaine) Cannady of Columbia; five grandchildren, Patrick Lee Fischer, Todd Cannady, Kara James, Steven Cannady, Jacob Cannady; six great grandchildren; four sisters, Betty (Jerry) Cheek of Culleoka; Jean Cannady of Shelbyville; Kathy Louise Arzadon of Pulaski; Audrey (Jim) Savage of Smyrna; four brothers, Jim Frank (Agnes) Skinner of Williamsport; Bill Skinner and Randy Skinner, both of Culleoka; Larry Wayne (Bonnie) Skinner of Dyersburg. She was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Skinner and one brother, Tommy Skinner. Pallbearers will be Patrick Lee Fischer, Todd Cannady, Steven Cannady, Jacob Cannady, Tony Anderson, and Eddie Taylor.
