Darlene Dodson Malott, 66, of Columbia, TN, died Sunday, May 25, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born July 28, 1958 in Maury County, TN, she was the daughter of the late James Harry “Buddy” Dodson and the late Sarah Ann Thompson Parker. On September 1, 1990 she married Brian Alan Malott, who preceded her in death on June 30, 1995. Darlene loved her family, planting flowers in her yard, going to flea markets, collecting things, and sewing quilts for her friends and family. Her family will always remember how much she liked to have fun and how she always did things her way. Darlene was mas a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Jill Zimmer (son-in-law, Drew and granddaughter, Lilah) and by her son, Jacob Malott (daughter-in-law, Jessica and grandson, Klay Malott). Other survivors include her siblings, J.H. (Myrtle) Dodson Jr, Debbie Dodson, Danny “Bill” (Stacy) Dodson, and Sara (Donnie) Underwood

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Louise Neely Martin.
