View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Darren Miller Wright, 52, resident of Highland Avenue, died Sunday, April 3, 2011 in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Steve Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday after 12 noon at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Memorial & Honor Program, P.O. Wright, Sr. of Columbia and the late Margaret "Peggy" Baldwin Wright and attended Maury County schools. He toured the world while serving in the U.S. Navy. Darren loved hunting and fishing and formerly lived in Sarasota, Florida where he worked as a commercial fisherman. More recently he was working in construction in Nashville. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. In addition to his father he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Virginia Stofel Crowson of Columbia; step-mother, Carleton Wright of Columbia; two sisters, Ginger Bryant of Columbia, Theresa (Kevin) Brown of Franklin; three brothers, Douglas Lee (Stacey) Wright, Jr. of Columbia, Allen (Lisa) Wright of Franklin, Chris Wright of Key Largo, Florida; step-sister, Leigh Ann Haddock of Columbia; and nine nieces and nephews, Wesley Mack Bryant, Natalie Napier Bryant, Jennifer Walmsey, Brandy Moore, Megan Brown, Kenzie Brown, Erica Wright, Adam Wright, Caroline Wright. Pallbearers will be Allen Wright, Wesley Bryant, Kevin Brown, Nick Moore, Adam Wright and Dwight Stofel. Honorary pallbearers will be his close friends, Steve Massey, Harold Lee, Mike Tingle, Bud Pagel and Larry Newcomb.
