DEAN HICKMANPEGGY HICKMAN Harold Dean Hickman, 64, and Peggy Willeford Hickman, 62, died Wednesday, October 9, 2002 at their residence on Dodson Gap Road in the Campbell Station Community. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Paul Webb, Burton Daimwood, and Bobby Sands officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday after 4:00 P.M. and Saturday after 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Culleoka Summer Softball League, P. O. Box 51, Culleoka, Tennessee 38451. Mr. Hickman was a Maury County native and the son of Bertie Mae Weatherford Hickman of Lewisburg and the late William Gordon Hickman. He was a 1956 graduate of Culleoka High School, a longtime employee of Publix Shirt Company, and served in the National Guard. Mrs. Hickman was a Maury County native and the daughter of Mattie Kathleen Alexander Willeford of Campbell Station Community and the late Humphrey Eugene Willeford. She was a 1957 graduate of Culleoka High School and had worked as receptionist and insurance clerk for several Columbia physicians, including most recently Dr. Stephen Parey. She was a member of Campbell Station Church of Christ. The couple is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Brenda (Freddy) Ring and Mrs. Patricia (David) Hobbs, both of Culleoka; and six grandchildren, Will Ring, Justin Hobbs, Amy Ring, Jessi Hobbs, Travis Ring, and Jenni Hobbs; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jolene and Billy Frank Jett. Mr. Hickman is also survived by his mother, Bertie Mae Hickman of Lewisburg; two sisters, Mrs. Joyce (Bobby) Dugger of Spring Hill; Mrs. Linda (Wayne) Tomlin of Mt. Pleasant; and four brothers, Jimmy (Maude) Hickman of White Lake, Michigan; Billy (Carolyn) Hickman and Mike (Judy) Hickman, both of Culleoka; Doug Hickman of Columbia; sister-in-law, Bonnie Hickman of Columbia. Mrs. Hickman is also survived by her mother, Mattie Kathleen Alexander Willeford of Campbell Station Community; two sisters Mrs. Carolyn (Buddy) Harris of Columbia; Mrs. Frances (Alvin) Hayes of Summertown; two brothers, Horace (Lenore) Willeford of Culleoka; J. W. (Holly) Willeford of Oak Park, Illinois. Pallbearers will be Robby Dugger, Shane Hickman, Wesley Hickman, Billy Harris, Chris Cotten, Kenneth Willeford, Bobby Hines, Scott Dugger, Brian Hill, Brad Brewer, Steve "Bubba" Luna, Ted Osborne, Lewis Osborne, Mike Jett, Chris Jett, and Roscoe Voss.
