Deborah “Dee” Dunn, 71, a loving mother and grandmother and a resident of Summertown, Tennessee, died Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born January 14, 1955, in Huntsville, Alabama, to the late Joseph Wilson Dunn and Martha Ann Nichols Dunn.
For many years, Deborah worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) in the labor and delivery department at Parrish Hospital in Titusville, Florida. She later returned to Columbia, Tennessee, where her family resided, and established and operated her own cleaning business. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.
She loved gardening and planting and had a green thumb that was unbelievable. Her fur babies were a great joy to her and they would sit on the front porch for hours. Deborah will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family and especially her grandchildren and the time they shared together with family dinners and lunches with her daughters.
She is survived by her daughters, Chenoa Lee of Columbia and Brooke (Justin) Webster of Summertown; two grandchildren, Alexiah Jones and Tyler Armstrong; brother-in-law, Doug Ashton of Florida; two nephews, Jamie Daszuta and Dylan Daszuta; fur babies, Alaska, Sebastian, and Zip; and friends, April Campbell, Shirley Boyle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt “Rocky” Lee, in 1990; her brother, Terry Dunn; her sister, Paula Ashton; and her nephew, Steven Ashton.
A memorial service will be conducted Friday, October 30, 2026 at 4:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Deacon Daniel McCulley officiating. The family will visit with friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
